Curriculum vitae
Studies of Automotive and Aeroplane Engineering at the Munich College of
Applied Engineering and Sciences (with excellence) and of Mechanical Engineering and
Aerospace Science at the Technical University Munich, Germany (with excellence).
1987 PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Armed Forces in
Neubiberg, Germany (with excellence). Doctoral thesis about the burning rates
of graphite in high enthalpie flows.
Form 1987 until 2001 worked with MTU Munich, a leading gas turbine
manufacturer in Germany. At MTU responsible in different positions in
the fields of research, development and testing as well as in the marketing
area. Last position: program head and head of development for the two engine
programs RB 199 (Tornado fighter airplane) and MTR 390 (Tiger helicopter).
Since 2001 head of the Institute for Thermal Turbomachinery and Machine
Dynamics at Graz University for Technology.
